Have had Radions, Orpheks and now Stratons. IMO, of the three the Straton is far superior based on coral coloration and growth with the accompanied increase of Alk and Ca demand alone. The problem is finding them.

Really great info. I have radions on my living room tank and agree the fans are extremely annoying. I’ve been thinking about making a change because of the noise. I have orpheks on other tanks and the fans are hardly noticeable. I haven’t tried the ATI Straton but it looks amazing and no sound is a huge allure to me. How’s the noise on the Phillips?
I have not tried Philips but they are fanless so the noise should be 0

Any pictures of your tank?

Settting up a new tank. Torn between the Stratons and new GNC blue ray pro. Are the gnc easy to setup? Any info would be helpful. Thanks!
I see you found my build thread.

The GNC are easy. Web app. Simple and haven't adjusted my schedule once I set it - lighting should be something you don't have to worry about once it's set up.

Lots of examples of great tanks on the Italian reefing forums, even using the older GNC AM series. Just use Google Chrome auto-translate to help.

Here's a video of a tank using them, for example:

And then two months later, the growth is evident:
