It is hard to get a good photo of it. I got it around July for $30 bucks. It was a little feller and I wanted to see how I would do growing one.

Today 9/17:

It has green on it's base but the rest is pink.

Maybe a "Fruit Fusion?" I can't really find any that look like it. I am a little surprised it has encrusted cause I know how difficult this coral can be.

You’ll have to grow it out to be certain. When some acros encrust, their radial corallites get smooth and blobby, making ID difficult. When it grows some new branches, you can probably get an ID.

I'm honestly surprised it is even growing. I took a risk for $30 and I wonder how long it will last. Hopefully my dosing and water changes keep it happy. It's grown about an inch in diameter on it's base since July. I am going to have to get a separate rack to put it on so the monti I have doesn't bulldoze over it.

Okay well maybe these pictures will be better in focus. I just threw a quick one at you to show you the base growing out.

Edit : I just realized I bumped this thread. I was meant to send these images to another user. My mistake.

How about now? =)

I'm surprised I haven't killed it yet. Not that I am trying. I just don't have a lot of confidence in myself as far as the hobby goes.

This one here is called an Ultra tabling... you guys might be onto something.

The red planet looks similar in some of the pictures too. Of course this thing is under a Hydra 32 so mine might look different compared to others.

I think This Tabling or Red Planet has narrowed down what I have.

I'd lean towards anthocercis or hyacinthus. Still needs to grow some new branches to be certain.

I just realized how "fluffy" the polyps are. I am still surprised it is not dead. Not because I am trying to be neglectful to my tank. Just the aura of how difficult this coral can be. Hopefully I don't do any drastic changes to my tank.

It is still alive. Survived a new tank transfer. Colors are changing. A lot more green is showing up. This new phone I have is awful and cheap and takes horrible pictures even with the orange lens thing.

I don't know what the heck it is. But it isn't dead and that is all that matters.

It is on the back wall.
