Help! I’m building out my first tank in 20 years, which really feels like my first tank all over again.... The tank is about 4 months old and has Not had fish until about a month ago, when I added a pair of oscellaris clowns. This week I added a tailspot blenny and a coral beauty angel. Otherwise, tank have been stocked with soft corals and some SPS as well as a modest snail/hermit crab cleanup crew.

i dealt with diatoms, which now seem to be gone and haven’t had much in the way of pest algae until about a week to 10 days ago, when this brownish green algae, with strings (hair algae?) started to show up.
Parameters are
1.026 SG
NO3 - 7PPM
PO4 - 0
Alk - 9
Temp - 78
I dose 3ml of NoPox on my ~50 gallon systemwide water volume daily and have been adding Vibrant weekly.
Please help!

Just part of the maturing process i wouldnt keep your po at 0 need some measurable. And its a new tank dont try to throw a bunch of chemicals at it. It needs time for things to stabalize...just my 2 cents...

What reef lover said. I recommend keeping phosphates at 0.10 ppm. You can get a CUC going to manage the algae. I highly recommend ceriths because they eat just about anything and go everywhere including the sand bed. Trochus are also very good. If gha gets crazy, then look into gold ring cowries, aka money cowries.
