What kind of mushroom is it ?

This little brownish guy appears out of nowhere and seems to be growing pretty fast Near my blue mushroom.
There is a whitish fuzzy thing growing on top of it, no idea what kind of mushroom it is, just want to make sure it won t arm anything around.

doesnt look like a mushroom, looks like a dead plating sponge, coraline, or coral. Either way its fine to leave as it, maybe it is just a mushroom with a lot of mucus hard to tell in the photo

What are you doing for algae control?

Right know i'm slowly getting out of the ugly phase (went through diatoms, cyano, dyno, brown/green hair algae and a little bryopsis, tank is 6 months old), refugium on reverse schedule, manual removing while doing WC, CUC, recently added a small UV to help getting through smootly.
i'm not chasing rapid changes in my tanks, i strongly believe you somehow have to go through those ugly steps to establish a balanced tank.
