What kind of fish are the small yellow fish in the first picture...?

And then the orange and red ones with the blue eyes to the left in the second pic...? Anthia? lyre-tail?

Thanks!

The red is the male and the orange is the female, correct?

What is the yellow...?

2 regional varients of lyretail anthias.
Top one i believe is the pacific variant and bottom is the indian ocean variant. There is also more local specific variants too like Japan, but they are less commonly seen.

Sometimes they are treated as separate species too, im not sure if scientists have agreed on that yet

Regional variency will cause differences in colour too, but still a lyretail

After searching - I think you are right.

The yellow ones are females from a different region.

Just wish I could find out where exactly.

And what the "interaction" (AKA aggression) would be by mixing the two - one male (red/purple) to a few orange and a few yellow females.

It is probably just your monitor's settings; the females are a light peachy-orange and the males usually pink.

I thought about that, or either the lighting.

But, the yellow ones in the first pic are definitely yellow.

You can see them next to the yellow tang - and next to the orange fish.

Not on my monitor. They look just like my own lyretails.
