Recently I've seen a bunch of these snails popping up in the tank. Havnt added anything since this past april. They look like dwarf cerith and seem to act like them too. Come out primarily at night and crawl onto rockwork, never witnessed them going to a coral or another snail. Only thing is their shell is bright white and all the other ceriths I've seen/had are dark in color. I thought maybe they're babies that grew up but I thought ceriths couldn't reproduce in a tank. Images attached, excuse the small gha out breakout I've had recently.

They look like pyramid snails to me, bad apples, remove them. Perhaps others will chime in.
I was gooflonf pyramid snails and I think these fiys are too big. They are the size of a dwarf cerith about 1/3 to a 1/2 inch. Seem to big alittle bulker than a pyramid as well. I have looks at my larger astrea and trochus and dont see any signs of predation.

Agree. The shell is a little shorter and not as long and thin but its the closest I can find. I never introduced it and havnt added anything in well over 6 months. Can ceriths reproduce? Can it be baby florida cerith and not a dwarf cerith at all?

I did. The shell on those seem very distinctive with that spiral ladder, dont think that's it except for the white color. I've seen them the past few weeks and have not noticed a single one on or near another snail, and I have no clams. They are always crawling around in algae on the rocks by themselves. There are way to many I doubt I'd get them all so as long as they appear peaceful I'll let them be, if not itll be time for snail murdered blue leggers like the photo above lol.

Now that you mention it I do remember reading that they can but the eggs usually get eatin so we dont see it often. I did have my tank fallow of fish for 3 months so it makes since they actually hatched for once. I don't remeber seeing eggs on the glass but I'm sure they lay in rockwork too
