Tangential to this ... what about those new AI Blade lights. Mayhaps AI would want a large group on a big active forum doing a lot of educated talking about these new lights?

Do they have that much confidence in them?
Those things are being advertised/hyped like a grand opening type event. I suspect they'll sell a million of those things before anyone has even tried them.

Slight tangent from the idea but...

I'd like to see a small group buy of a really nice PAR meter setup where the participants could:
- have minimal initial buy $$$ (each)
- sign up for a coordinated schedule to pass it around within the group

I could try an ad in Marketplace but too lazy to try to deal with the coordination.
*probably too much effort but just a thought

Salt, 2 part, frozen foods, Hanna reagents, ICP tests, equipment could be good, but probably pretty difficult. Maybe see if BRS or someone would do some kind of volume discount so people could purchase their favorite brands vs having to choose a specific brand? Just a thought.

I'll vote for salt, as I'm setting up a new 125g tank, sump, hospital tank and QT. Can you setup a vote for several products, live fish & coral ? It would be easier.

Group buys by major city location maybe so i for one would enjoy a Pittsburgh group buys (on all things from livestock, coral, supplies) to mitigate shipping expenses.

Could be anything really. Anything that could be purchased by a group would be better if both sides win. However, if said item costs the same because of raised prices before the group buy then it loses all luster.

I echo the idea that replenishables like inverts and pods and consumables like food, salt, and reagents are great options for bulk purchase. Even livestock/corals could work given a big enough interest

I really like this one and would 100% be a part of it.
Group purchase a PAR meter and send each other shipping labels to ship it around the group. Just need to trust that someone in the group isn't going to keep it and ghost everyone, not sure how to guarantee that.
