What light are you using in your fuge?

I'm using the new Tunze submersible fuge light and I've had terrible luck growing Chaeto.. so I'm in the market for something new. What has worked well for you?

Erm.. if I had to guess I'd say it's somewhere around 5x8". It's the red sea v3 for the 350.

I just bought this light because the Kessil H80 wasn’t doing a dang thing. Am loving it so far.

Screwed an L bracket into top and hang it with the clips it comes with.

I love it so far, I am growing fern caulerpa and even if my tank is new and low on nutrients is growing great.

I have used them all from screw-in incandescent bulb, CFL, some grow-LED, etc. If your chaeto is not growing, it is not likely the light.

Most of the time when somebody tells you that a light change helped with chaeto, it was ready to take off anyway. The stuff is incredibly easy to grow if your tank is ready to grow it, you have some iron in the system and you are not dosing any organic carbon or using other chemicals and media.

I had a ufo but when I opened it up there was rust on the inside.

Now I run 2 fixtures with higrow bulbs. 660nm true 24w & a full spec true 24w

I'm using a ip67 cob grow light 50 watt from ebay. It's done great for me. I like the fact that there aren't any fans to go bad. I will say it gets hotter than I would like. I ended up getting some stick on heat sinks which helped quite a bit(at least in terms of dropping the temp of the outside of the fixture). For the price I don't think I'll ever run anything else on future builds.

I use a hybrid approach, although not the cheapest it gives me tons of versatility . Combo Kessill h160 and A160WE

I have a Kessil H160 over my chaeto chamber, and a DIY led fixture over my 40breeder attached fuge soon to be replace with my broken Orpheks. Upgraded my DT with Reefi, and love them!
