What do you feel are the benefits of it?
Phytoplankton feeds copepods and amphipods and any other filter.feeders in the tank. I did not have a stable population of copepods and amphipods until dosing phyto daily. The pods then feed my fish, and I believe also help to reduce nutrients in my tank. My sps also look healthier when dosing phyto. If you start dosing phyto, build up the dose slowly to allow your system time to adjust, as recommended with any new additive.

BRS soda ash, calcium chloride and magnesium.
The soda ash and calcium chloride are on an autodoser, and the magnesium is added manually as needed.

RedSea Trace Colors ABCD dosed manually daily(ish) at about 2/3 recommended dose for calcium consumption.

RedSea Reef Energy Plus A+B. I dose about 10ml manually every other day to my heavily stocked 125 mixed reef.

The corals (especially the acros) really seem to appreciate it.

I use IO salt so I dose 2 part in my ro water for my calcareous macro algae. I also add iron and flourish on occasion, maybe once a month. I dose either Coral Vite or Strongium every other week after a water change. Finally I feed some liquid filter feeding foods when I think of it.
