Hi All,

I have this thing on my live rock in my tank and I have no idea what it is. I'm hoping that someone on here knows what this may be and if its anything to worry about.

It looks circular, and looks to have some sort of shell to it. I only notice it when I broadcast feed my corals... it seems to release a long strand of "something"
Anyway, I know its kind of cryptic but there are much smarter people than me on here, so maybe someone might be able to tell.

Looks like a large Vermited snail.

they can reproduce fast. Best thing it to remove it by breaking the base off the rock. Or covering/filling with superglue.

the snail lives deep in the shell, so you have to get the base- not just the tube.

they can bother corals and can multiply quickly as well.

good luck and happy reefing.
