Hi,

I am plumbing a 1/2 return line from my UV sterilizer and picked up some 36” irrigation pipe, which has threads on both ends, and is perfect for what I need. It also happens to be black/gray, so perfect for concealing. Lowe’s sells it as irrigation riser pipes.
My issue lies within the label! For outdoor use only, cancer and reproductive harm, P65 warning.

I am concerned, as I just read up on what type of plastic containers to use for my ATO, and have been seeing how some reefers have had issues with some plastics leeching harmful stuff into the tank. I’m building this system for SPS corals.

Thanks!

I have a mix of standard and dark grey. I have not had an issue.

They all are safe as long as properly sealed with PVC cement. Even flex PVC acceptable.
