So I’m still deciding on a light for my Biocube 32 and I’m wondering if I chose SB Reef Lights which one should I get for a Biocube 32? It’ll be a LPS/Softie dominant tank with maybe a few SPS in the future.

Yeah I’m not too impressed with them either after looking more into them I’m deciding between a kessil A160 and a Hydra 32 now.

Kessils always look dope on cubes; hydras are great but have had two in years past that a few leds went bad and the customer service was terrible.

I’m all about looking into other lighting options but SB Reef is one I’d be wary of. There have been several threads recently asking whether or not they’re even still in business. I guess they are since their website is still going but not worth it to me.

For your tank i would hunt around the used section and pick up a Kessil a360 for $200-$250. Also really common with tanks of your size is a single AI Prime and then get a second one eventually.

But if you want to go new there’s always other brands like Reef Breeders, Ocean Revive, Red Sea has a nice light.
