I got a hammer coral and a gold cristata today and I was wondering if I could feed them reef roids or if I should feed them something else like mysis shrimp.

They don't need to be fed at all, but if you want to feed for your enjoyment either would work. I've fed them reef roids, Vitalis LPS pellets, fish pellets, variety or frozen food etc.

Depending on whether they were fed by the previous owners, I've seen some Euphyllias take a long time to get used to the feeding. I'd go light on feeding until you can see that they're taking it.

Admins, this should be moved to LPS section.
