I've been seeing a lot of conflicting information regarding return pump size. I just ordered a WB 70.2 and the Mini Peninsula 25. I'd like to catch one of the Black Friday sales going on right now. I saw that Sicce are 30% on BRS, but I'm not sure to go with Sicce or get a Vectra. I need it to be as quiet as possible.

Thanks!

Congratulations on the new tanks! Here is a R2R build thread for a 70.3 using a Varios2:

I have seen Sicce Syncra Silent 1.0 used on the P-mini 25 (they are quiet but not silent).

@EmilyXLC - any thoughts to add?

I'm going with NO on the sicce. I have the 3.0 and have never had a pump that vibrates as much as this one does. It is not loud but it is certainly not quite either. I'm seriously thinking about going with a jebao dc pump, they've been around for quite awhile now and seem to have a decent track record.

Thanks guys! It doesn't look like the Vectra pumps have gone on sale yet. Hopefully they will do a Black Friday deal. I got in contact with WB and they said to use the Sicce 1.0 for the MP and the Vectra S2 or the Sicce 3.5 for the 70.2. Since the Sicce pumps are 30% off right now, I think I'll pick up the 3.5 and keep it as a backup pump or use it until I can find a good deal on a Vectra.

I bought the same tank (reef 70.2) just got the new eflux 6009 by current USA. It’s a dc pump for like 10-15 dollars more then the sicce pumps so you can tune it better.

Go for the vectra and dont look back. If silent is what you want its a no brainer for the vectra
