what the heck are these growing in my Zoas?

At first I thought they were part of the zoas but they seem to rapidly expanding

cant quite tell need a better photo under better lighting sponge maybe?
dose it move or is it always in the same position?

you're talking about the spindly stuff? Hard to tell but it looks like a macro algae. Can you pull it off?

I believe those are tube sponges - more like roots looking - best to take a soft bristled toothbrush and brush it off or it will suffocate those zoas.

Thanks everyone! I guess they’re sponges.
Do they have natural predators? Otherwise I can pull the rock out and just let it be exposed to air for a while

I believe most angel fish eats sponges, but probably with that is, it will also eat your zoas. Lol. Though some wrasses I've seen pecking at it. Imo, it's easier, reef safe, and faster to just pull out the frag and clean it yourself. :)
