So I’m new to the reefing hobby and got a pink bta about a month ago and it was doing great. Until I came home today and it was blue, much smaller, and in a different spot. I have no idea what happened. Is this supposed to happen?

The first picture was it yesterday.

The second picture is it now.

Welcome to the hobby and Reef2Reef!

Some general questions about you tank can help with figuring out whats up with the nem.

How old is the tank? What size is it? What are your parameters (temp, salinity, and chemistry)?

From my own limited experience with nems they are mobile, and will pick whatever spot they think is best. I introduced a nem to my tank (only 3 months old or so) and it suffered for months and I thought was on deaths door before emerged and looking somewhat healthy. They are not very hearty creatures and will let you know if anything is off. You can see here the first is when I purchased the nem, the second is what it looked like for about 3 months, and then what it looks like currently. Stick it out, keep an eye on it. Keep your water clean, provide it light, and dont mess with it.
