A couple of sub questions.
One is, is that whole black and purplish thing an organism?

I was looking at the whole thing when i noticed like 2 really thin, translucent looking kind of strands that was moving on it. seems like its using (i'll call it antennas for now) to pick up sand or something.

Then, I saw a huge white strand come wiggle out.

Wthat the hell is that?

also, i started to notice that, the aquacultured live rock i got from KP aquatics starting to turn really white as you can kind of see in the pictures. is that normal? and what is it?

Yep sponge and spaghetti worm.

My live rock with purple coralline algae often bleaches white. eventually it comes back to purple. Its mainly just because your tank is never going to be exactly like where it came from (lighting, water parameters, etc)
