I have a group of 5 young Banggai Cardinals that I am trying to pick a pair out of. They are two months old. How do I recognize a pair? What behavior could I see when they start pairing up? How old do they need to be to see that?

J/K, You will see them pair off. 2 will hang out by themselves and chase others away. The male will not eat when he is carrying babies in his mouth.
