This weekend I am going to try and figure out where exactly I want to put my tank and then I need to figure out how I want to arrange my rocks for the aquascap. I probably will be browsing the for sale sites trying to pick up some additional equipment as I plan my build out. At this rate I doubt if I have water in the tank before the end of the year.

First weekend of the month, so in addition to weekly vacuuming, water change, and skimmer cup cleaning I’m also cleaning all pumps/power heads and skimmer body and testing for trace elements.

Just spent a truck load of money on dry rock for the new build tonight. Should be here within the week.

The plan is to cook (dark cure) the rock in a 50-gallon brute for a month or two (give or take) with media from the 125. When it I finally scape the tank, I intend to add a limited amount of live rock from a reputable open ocean source.

The plan for this weekend is to finish the cleanup on the new (to me) tank and leak check the plumbing. Might take a while.

Getting kind of excited about this.

Trying to figure out why my little bite of live rock is the only growing hair algae. I’m at 8 weeks cycling and the only live stock is the rose coral, some halimeda, and little pieces of some red branching algae.

It's the weekend!!!! What plans do you have for your tank? I'm going to be doing some cleaning and taking some photos and possibly mounting some corals into permanent (or semi-permanent) places on my rockwork. I'll also be going to the West Coast Coral Farmers Market tomorrow. What about you guys?? Any fun plans?

I will be trying to find a hydra 32 black or Red Sea 90. Plus a return pump for my first reef tank. :)

I'm in the process of revamping my 20gal sumpless with new rock. I never liked the dry rock I started it with. The lady who runs my LFS makes rock from aragonite in really cool shapes, all cycled and ready to go. So that's my weekend project.

What're you guys doing to your tanks this weekend? Mine needs a good cleaning. I'm going to rip out some turf algae, make a new batch of saltwater, and set up my new macroalgae reactor.
Rip out turf algae from an algae scrubber or from your tank?

I've had a 7-in regal tang in quarantine for the last couple weeks finally got around to adding her to the system.

I also did some cleaning, made a modification to my skimmer where I am now injecting outside air to one of the beckett, within the first couple hours raised PH from 7.96 to 8.06

Scratch removal.
How did the scratch removal go? A few months ago I did a complete refinish of all three view panels of my 400 gallon also completed the process with system up and running. 1000 grit to 12,000 grit micro mesh sandpaper took the better part of 2 weeks to complete all three sides.

Fed the fish.
Added rodi
Cleaned my skimmer
Tonight I'm gonna pluck all the empty frag plugs and random things out and toss em in the sump. Might move some of my sump rock up to the display.
That's about it. Lol.
Oh and slide loc shared my picture on IG. Lol. Wohoo!
Kinda kool I guess. Lol. At least he asked unlike the par38 light guy who made $ off me by using one of my photos on his eBay item. Lol eBay.

Got a couple of the rock sculptures into the tank. Placed a couple of the RFA's and a few of the coral frags.

Still have a bit more to go, but its coming together finally.
