Any ideas on what the reddish-brown circular object is that's blocking the polyp on this tort? The frag came in with it; seems as if the tissue is starting to grow around it.

Not entirely certain, but could be a barnacle or gall crab.

It looks like a damaged tip healing. They get covered almost instantly by algae/cyano and the coral will slowly grow over it as it heals. My .02
