For the past few days I have noticed this significant black spot on my Montipora frag growing, as well as some small white spots. It almost looks like some sort of cyst to me. The frag is very small so it's really difficult to see it clearly without a magnifying glass. Is it Montipora eating nudibranchs?

All of my other SPS frags ( 2 seraitopora and 2 stylophora) are looking fine. The only parameter that has changed is the alkalinity. It went down slightly after my last water change. (9.2 to 8.4)

PH is 8.3
Ammonia: 0
Nitrites:0
Nitrates: 10

I did a coral dip and all of these things came out of my frag. They are all dead.I think they were larvae or something from the eggs or something?? I need help identifying them

Can’t really make out the pictures, the light is reflecting and the focus is hard to define what your looking for.

if you’ve got white things or tissue damage it’s more than likely to be nudi branch’s.. night time is best to check with a flashlight..

start by dipping the frag and do it around every 36 hours.

I remove mine from plugs because crevices are the secure home for the little blighters..

I’d give the undersides a scrub with a tooth brush and maybe scrape the white areas back to the tissue, it will hopefully then start to regrow.

I looked under a magnifying glass and couldn't see any nudibranchs. What would be the best way to remove the cap from the plug it's glued to without damaging it?
