I just got them the other day. One had a Polyp that has lost color and the other looks like its melting? The one on the rack won't open all the way. It was doing good until 2 days ago. Has been in there for a week and a few days.

Current parameters and lighting? Did you dip the coral or anything before putting in tank?

I used Coral Rx coral dip before putting in tank. They were looking great until my water change. Water change was 2 days ago. Haven't checked since will recheck tomorrow.

Tank parameters before water change:
Ph 8.4
Amonia 1.0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 0
Calcium 400 ppm
KH 161-179(gh/kh) 10 dkh
Phosphate (0)
Salinity 1.025

I did a 30% water change. Lighting I'm using a viparspectra. Only running it at 15% trying to gradually bump it up every 2 weeks.

Did you ever figure out your algae or dinos issue? That could be your problem.

0 nitrates and 0 phosphate is bad for corals in most situations
How do I fix that? I've been over feeding slightly

I moved since then. Bleached the tank and filter. New sand and freshwater dipped the rock. No signs of them yet. My other coral has been fine. A friend gave me those 2 so I put them on the frag rack to see how they'd do. I put AB+ REDSEA in the tank every other day. Isn't that supposed to give the coral food? I don't know much about saltwater

How long has the tank been set up after bleaching the rocks? Did you cycle it afterward?

Typically after a tank is cycled and fish are introduced, you want to give it a month or so before introducing coral. Even then it can be difficult.

Yeah I know. I have 10 corals that I moved with the tank hoping I don't loose them. I may pour some more turbo start in there and continue to over feed and do water changes. Thank you!
