+1 on the Apex

The other thing I didn’t know I needed till I got it was a Water Station - ATO, AWC, and Auto RODI refill.

A well built acrylic sump.

I toyed around with home made sumps for too long. Yes, on multi tank systems, DIY is the way to go. But, on my 93 cube and then my 240, Fijicube has been a godsend. Easy maintenance, plenty of features and adjustability. And it just plain looks nice.

I doubt I will ever build another sump for a single tank system.

I will also go with an apex with a trident. I have had my current tank up for around 2 years and just recently bought an apex/dos/trident. I wish I would've bought it a long time ago.
Yea when I got all 3 of those, made keeping the parameters easy!

I would say APEX. It wasn't until the APEX that I truly understood the patterns of PH and hence all the other parameters that fluctuate throughout the day.

Building a control panel to mount all my equipment for my 210 gallon tank. Really cleaned up things and no more cords piled up looking like an octopus ready to devour me. 2nd to that would have to be the Apex system w Trident water testing.

A roller mat. After 3 years with my Red Sea Reefer XL 425, I just recently replaced the stock sump with a Trigger Systems Platinum 34 sump with an integrated 10" roller mat. What a huge improvement over filter socks!

I know a lot of people above listed the Apex. I actually started with my Apex on day one 3 years ago and am so glad I did! For those who aren't familiar with me, check out the whole series of Apex tutorials I've written:

Auto Top off as well as a dosing pump. Quite satisfied with Red Sea's new doser and Tunze's Osmolator 3155.
