I just found my comment from last year (in July 2021) saying I needed a new light to replace the stock light that came with my tank. I can cross that off my list so my new thing for 2022 is possibly getting a mini protein skimmer to help pull out organic waste that I feel is contributing to my tank looking less thank sparkly clean only about 4 days after I do a water change.

Let’s see for me since my upgrade tank is a massive work in progress (I.e. running water with minimal rock). The most important thing for me is upgraded lighting, looking to get two 250W Metal Halides with either reef brite or t5 supplements
Mine too needs to be updated. I went with 2 150w halides with Aliexpress bars.

Now, I could use a leak detection kit or an ATO for my wife’s tank

a controller for the big 3… ALK has been a hassle to keep in line with a clam, and lots of SPS/LPS in my tank and now coralline algae taking off as well..

Reef tanks are an ongoing, perpetual "reef build" if you will. Chances are you will always need something to take it to the next step or next level. I might just be working on a little something to help someone with that so I need your help with some answers! :p

What's the #1 thing you need for your reef build right now to take it to the next level?

RESIST the urge to say money! LOL! Seriously what could you really use?
