Nothing like seeing your coral healthy and growing! Certain coral may not do so well in your reef tank but then there is the coral that does VERY well for you! Let's talk about that today!

What's the fastest growing coral you have? Tell us the type and tell us the common name if it has one!

This question hurts me to the core, I have nothing to talk about since my tank is new. BUT, I do have new buds on several zoas and my daughter has grown several inches this year. Other than that I would need a micrometer to measure growth.
Let's revisit this question this time next year...please!

I voted LPS because I'm not really impressed by my xenia growing like a weed. Haha

My Duncanopsammia axifuga and Goniopora have both had awesome growth in the short time they've been in my tank. My Duncan has been in for ~2 weeks and has grown two new heads. I can't count how many new ones I've gotten on my goni, which I've had 2-3 weeks.

I voted soft because, as a group many of my zoas and Kenya tree are growing the fastest, although if we are talking about a single coral it's probably my Hollywood Stunner Chalice. I'm not sure why when people talk about invasive corals from their growth rate it doesn't get mentioned. It is at least easy to frag and remove some of it.

I have never kept corals… but my Ulva or “Sea lettuce” grows like a weed! In one week, it doubled in size!

My Sea lettuce grows like a weed too. They really work by sucking the phosphate and nitrate out of the water.

I have to be the luckiest person in the hobby because my fastest grower is my RRC Rainbow Splice. First pic is when I got it in late February, Second is mid April and the last picture was taken 1 week ago.
