Some of the zoanthids are really taking off (others are really taking their time). Mushrooms are filling up the back glass on one side of the overflow. And the Duncan Coral is filling out nicely. GSP is spreading across the internal overflow.

Nothing like seeing your coral healthy and growing! Certain coral may not do so well in your reef tank but then there is the coral that does VERY well for you! Let's talk about that today!

What's the fastest growing coral you have? Tell us the type and tell us the common name if it has one!

All you reefers with fast growers, I'd love to hear what you're feeding them! I have a 75-gal tank and my local reef store does my water changes every 4-5 weeks. My corals (soft and lps) are alive, but definitely aren't growing fast. I feed reef roids once a week, and an amino acid supplement once a week, otherwise they get frozen mysis, spirulina, blah blah blah...fish food twice a day. Water tests fine.

Fastest growing coral at the moment are the plating Acros, like fox flame and Solar Flare. Keeping an eye on future shading possibilities, for the coral that reside underneath.

My Anthelia took over a significant amount of my rockwork. I had to pull out the rock and gut it since it was overtaking other corals. My Xenia and GSP are the next fastest

My anacroporas. Several morphs, all grow very quickly and hold their color. Red monti cap gets honorable mention as do purple stylos

Radioactive Dragon Eye Zoas, grows ridiculously fast for me
I bought a two polyp frag a month ago. I currently have 5 with at least 2 more buds going right now.

Now where do I get a blue and a red zoa that grow this fast?

Meanwhile, I have a nice purple zoa that hasn't grown a new polyp in over 6 months hahaha
I thought my Eagle Eyes were bound to take over a whole rock. So I gave them a nice open space to spread on ... haven't seen a new polyp in months.

I have to say the fastest growing coral in my tank would be this birds nest. Acquired it April 2021. 8 months later, you see the pic happy reefing.

For me it's a tie between my gorgonian that i swear i can watch grow in real time and a frammer i got 2 years ago on its deathbed. It dropped a head last year and now the mother colony is almost 12 heads. The dropped baby is now two heads and both are currently splitting. I'd show pics but I'm embarrassed by all the aiptasia in my tank right now.

My RBTA’s for sure, started off with 1 and now… well….. splitting on a weekly basis so I give them away to local reefers and fish stores.

For me, it’s been a neon green elk horn montipora. This is the one year anniversary and despite breaking multiple times, grows very aggressively.

Yep! Mine became a weed and I removed it as it took up alot of real estate in my 120.

It is a very nice looking coral though.
