Brokedown the tank a wile ago sold for $500
Now I have a pair of midnight paid $180, and a purple tang paid $200.

Haha I can imagine! Crosshatches under 6" are hard to find and carry a high price tag!

I bought a $30 clownfish... Oh, and a $40 tomini tang..

Kidding. My biggest fish expense was a trio of seahorses, that was equal in price back then to my trio of flasher wrasses. Came to around $150, so $50ish each.

I got a trio of Cross Hatches that were all under 4 inches. A really nice Male and 2 Females. Not going to say how much I paid, but it was as much as my wife spent on Candy Crush last year. Which was A LOT.

That's a great idea! I'm going to do this with my husband. He does the whole world of warships thing... $100 a month, give or take... I can get a few REALLY nice fish with that :D

Pair of cirrhilibrus pylei that did great for months till they jumped through a tiny gap in my net onto a brace and fried in the MH. Broke my heart. They were great. Now my most expensive is my mystery wrasse that I love.

Right now I'm a budget reefer, the most expensive fish I own is this beautiful Flame Angel my brother-in-law bought me for right around $42. This being my fist saltwater tank I'm a little leery about making an immediate big investment.
I will say things are progressing nicely & if everything continues to thrive my budget will increase exponentially.
My dream tank includes a variety of Tangs, including Yellow, Blue Hippo & Sailfin, Carpenter & Mystery Wrasse, a Bluechin Trigger, a Copperband Butterfly, both a Bicolor & Lawnmower Blenny, a Yasha Hase Goby paired with a Candy Stripe Shrimp, a few Tuxedo Urchins & Cleaner Shrimp, a Sand Sifting Star, and my all time favorite, Wrought Iron Butterfly.

I payed just under $50 for my lightning wrasse (pink face wrasse on live aquaria) but try to keep my $$$$ low just in case the fish dies and I lose alogtt of money ;)
