This 1000 gallon tank as a reef with a fish room behind it. What a dream!
What do you guys think this would cost?

Ive done a build through BRS site just to scope out a tank, it would cost me around 17,037.84 pre-tax. 18,549.94 after tax.

I did something similar and mine wad also about 20k. Good thing the misses likes fish and coral too

On my current build I’m almost done sourcing everything. All I need is an electrician, build my stand and get some power heads and get some days off.(currently three months, only Sundays off 12hrs a day...Yeah! Overtime now I can buy some more reef gear.) Currently I’m at $2500. (I’m cheap so I’ve been mostly buying on reef2reef and Craigslist) So when I’m done probably a little over $3000. But that’s a reality not a dream. So... if we are talking about dreams....I wonder Sea World is for sale.

I'm currently running a Fluval EVO 13 gallon that I started back up after a couple of years, and I'm already at $2,374 on the tank. Not a dream tank by any means either.

Dream tank is probably around 120-180 gallons [picked Reefer 160 gallon]

I priced out my dream tank/build on BRS for fun. This includes everything but fish/corals. I'd also probably want to switch out the included lights to MH/T5 combo, but left that out for simplicity.

This might be a reality in a few years - we'll see!
