So this looks like an ugly clove polyp... Is it invasive like the pretty blue ones? Should I leave it or throw away the frag the pretty blue digi that I killed was on that this wierd thing is now growing on?

Can you pick up the plug and get the unknown coral to close and get an image. It might not be cloves.

That’s tough to tell, it could be the Monti regrowing. I have had them recover from amazing circumstances.

They close up and you can't see them at all almost like a zoa, I'll go get a pic

Yes please, looking for an skeletal structures, or mat formation. Is each polyp independent of the next polyp, or are they connected.

Kinda look like those little clove polyps growing on a dead frag. Not sure the exact Latin name though.

I'm just gonna pull it.... The blue clove polyps can I put them on an island and they stay put like gsp or will they explode and go everywhere like pulsing xenia?

Almost reminds me of a goniopora from the first pic, I guess there's only one way to find out! I'd let it grow out and go from there.

It's still in there for now, I was setting up a nuvo 20 for my kids, and was gonna look up how those blue clove polyps propagate.
