Part of my Xenia seems to be dying. Other corals are doing apparently great (Elegance, Euphilia, Blastomussa, Zoas). I can only think of two things: it's a bit off the middle may be getting too strong light (RSX150 Maxspect LPS Auto setting) or the phosphates which for some reasons are 0 even 24 hours after dosing NaH2PO4. The tank is high in nitrates (40ppm).

Looks like there are a bagillion vermetid snails on the same rock? Could their slime be irritating the Xenia?

Probably unnlikely as this rock came from an established aquarium so they used to coexist for quite some time. This is the 1st time i hear about these critters

Now they all look dead (to my inexperienced eyes) but I expected that they will disintegrate but they stay as-is. Can they recuperate? Here is a Low Q recent pic.

Xenia has been like this for a few days. I wonder if its alive as it does not disintegrate? I just moved her to a spot with less light. Is it possible that it is suffering from photodamahe?
