Nah, they will be sending out Euro Brace kits to everything 525 and up...My wife showed me the post just now. Crazy. I'm no longer apart of the group... lol. Commenting turned off by the moderators. At least it's not deleted... yet.
They have some quality issues for sure.
Time for Red Sea to come up with a sealant kit to send all their customers
There is yet another post on FB today about a seem failure on a RS Reefer 350...what the heck is going on???
Yeah, it was posted 2 hours ago and it was already locked when I saw it about 10 minutes ago.Did they close the post?

Dang it. I was planning to get a Redsea tank very soon but it time to turn around and go with acrylic tank now lol. ;Greedy
When my 750 XXL fails I will definitely see if I can get the 900 and pay the difference. I will get a steel stand for it though. ;HappyYou can still get one. Just waterproof your house first.
I was thinking about getting their bigger 900. Now I'll just sit back and wait how things pan out over the next few months.

It looks to me like they just threw in an aluminum support in the 900 series stands to prevent blowouts instead of redesigning their stand altogether.
Yup, that’s exactly what they did. So 1.5” thick panels instead of 3/4”. Also looks like the center support is thick too. Then of course there are the added braces. If you look closely it appears that they (Red Sea) doubled up the exterior panels, and they speak to that during their promotional video on youtube. It does appear stronger to me, but what do I know. (Not a Red Sea fanboy, just a satisfied customer with my 525. Still worried like the rest of 'em! Ha)

So sorry about your tank! I’m m very curious to know if you noticed anything, like a bubble in the silicone, before this happened? My tank has a growing bubble almost in the exact place where yours came apart. I was told not to worry, and that it did not look like any of the failures they have seen.Adding pictures of the seam failure since he video will not load for whatever reason. Tried to get the light to shine so one could see the seam failure and where the saltwater gushed out of the bottom seam of the tank and where the sand started to fall into the seam. If I can get the video to load later I will... maybe I need to shorten it.

It does, but it’s barely into the actual sealing area. It’s where the glass is beveled on the edge, and about 1/8” in width. So about 1/16” for the bevel (which I don’t believe Is structural) and another 1/16” into the actual seam. If it grows at all in depth, I will shut it down. RS was very assuring, and very pleasant/helpful. It just really stands out as the light fills the void and Is a eyesore (which shouldn’t be on a high end 6month old tank). Plus, seeing that pic and video that was posted.....it’s in the exact same place as that rupture. So, yeah....im nervousim by no means a tank maker or engineer but a 2in bubbles would concern me...a lot
