This came as a nassarius vibex from Live Aquaria a few years ago. It’s between 2 and 4 yrs old to me. It certainly doesn’t look like a vibex nor behave like one. I only noticed it recently. It only comes out at night and is on the glass. I’ve never seen it come out of hiding nor return so I don’t know if it’s hiding in rocks or sand. It does not come out of hiding when I feed. It also doesn’t cruise fast like vibex. It’s actually fairly slow.

i can’t tell what it’s eating. It doesn’t have a mouth scraping the glass. It’s snorkel just sweeps back and forth. I assume it’s eating pods.

it’s foot is pretty long when stretched out and it has the trap door on the foot.

any ideas? I’m tempted to banish it to the sump or the freezer
