Pretty sure this is a whelk. Let me know if anyone thinks different.. If so do I toss it in the trash or safe in the sump?

Kind of reminds me of a small snail I left in my tank, except mine has a more black flesh and calico shell. Almost like a mini nassarius in appearance. It hasn’t caused any problems that I know of.

could be a nassrius vibex dose the foot look like it has a pattern or dose it have random spots everywhere
