I have few peeves, I think one of my bigger ones is when people that have been doing this for a while think because your young that what you have to say is of no value or that you couldn't know more about something than they do because they've existed longer...
Just wait til you get to be my age!;)

I didn’t have a pet peeve with this hobby till today...
Not taking safety tips seriously (especially when it comes to zoanthids).

I have a few annoyances in the reef keeping world.
1. Keeping large fish that require ample swimming room in small tanks, then going as far as to recommend other people to do it as well.
2. The 'chemicals are bad' guy. Our tanks run on artificially sourced elements. Only exception being access to natural sea water for water changes.
3. I feel prices are hitting sky high numbers, but many of us go with it because 'reefing is expensive'. I feel many companies are using this justification to ask exorbitant amounts of money for equipment that doesn't warrant it.
4. Online coral vendors showing pictures of corals that are not realistic.

Pretentiousness.
Hobby vendors that "negotiate" a price over facebook private messages.
Then they act like they are too good for you when they want a higher price than you're willing to pay.

Ki as in “key” - first time hearing it pronounced like that :D
No, as in ‘kai’ sounds like ‘tie’

A lot of words starting in ‘chae ’ are pronounced ‘kai’ In my field

But now that I’m trying to think of specific examples, I can’t, lol
I say "KAY-toe,"
if it's wrong... I would be surprised but willing to change.

"KAY-toe-MORPH-a"

People that say. "Jy-reee"

Pick up a book people, its an oceanic current and its pronounced Jy-err.

People that tell me i should buy LEDs, then want to buy me halide frags because the look so good.

People that haggle and haggle and haggle over what is already a solid price.. i dont know how many times i have said "sorry, sold" just to end the nightmare.

People that don't QT fish.

People that think garlic and ich be gone actually works to get rid of ich.

Pulsing zenia.

And last but not least.... coraline algae.

Phew.. that felt good!!

People who still bash LEDs. Even after all these years when there are many successful LED only tanks.

Im waiting on people to start selling they're expensive LED's after the brs video lol come on daddy needs some cheap kessils.

I remember when everyone couldn't wait for led's. Less energy, no bulb cost, and more energy efficient. I think it's like the movies. People are running out of ideas and just remaking old material

Im not so sure about that. Look up @najer build thread. It's epic
My peeve is that being in the UK the choice of corals is awful. I've visited WWC and seen what can be found in the US, then I come home to the UK and it's pitiful by comparison.

People that brag about not quarantining fish. Especially one who even bragged his fish would fend of velvet if it entered his tank. Like seriously, they just haven't experienced a wipeout yet playing Russian roulette. Paul B is the exception.

Bad advice saying feeding quality food, garlic, etc snake oil and ich goes away. As though us reefers that do quarantine feed less than quality food.

Seeing fish in tanks too small.

Seeing too many yellow tangs in one tank. Yeah they're too common and I don't care for them lol..

I know who you are talking about and I had to pull a couple posts because I was in danger of getting banned. Ignore list is easiest way to deal with it.
