When you feed a single polyp, does it benefit the whole colony?

Fairly straightforward question. If I’m feeding a single acan head with babies on the side or a few polyps of a goni, is the whole colony benefitting from that feeding?

I read somewhere that you can first pre feed small amount, wait a little then polyps will open then spot feed as usual,
Great question, I look forward to replies :)

I'm not sure if this goes for all corals, but they have a "shared stomach" called a coenosarc that allows the colony to share the food that the polyps intake

Yes weird stuff happens.
For me... personally I would just ensure all polyps get additional treatment as just incase they do not share a stomach, this way they are all recipients of food
