Anyone know who has 3"~4" ultra colored Maximas and Croceas?
Been searching online for a few weeks and seems like they're all 1.5"~2"
I know Unique Corals had some a while ago but no longer.

Thanks in advance.

I’ve also wondered about this.

Seems like the really beautiful croceas, in particular, are rarely to be found anymore.

You might want to try contacting UniqueCorals. They might give you an idea when they will get more in. I got a 6" Ultra Maxima from them for $149, regularly $189. It is huge. However it was a "they pick", not WYSIWYG, but it is beautiful. I couldn't be more pleased.

Nobody cultures them to that size anymore. They sell them when they are more 2". In some parts of the pacific, those are too small to collect wild, but not all. If you get one at 3-4 inches, then it is surely a wild clam... or perhaps the slight possibility of one that was just in a AQ facility for too long. The 5-6" ones that you see are wild caught and are large enough to collect.

Most of the larger blue maximas that you see are from Thaiti and are wild caught, like in post #7. They can be hardy if you have enough light, but most people do not and they only live for 6-9 months in captivity. New shell growth is the only way to know for sure that they are thriving.

From what I understand, mine is from Indonesia and has been in captivity for about a year now. There is definitely growth so I know it is doing well!

Not bashing on either LFS but, I did notice that Tongs for some reason have better coloration compared with Seaside. I know, I have two two inch long from Tongs and are about 2 months apart from each other. Seaside does have better clam coloration if you want the bigger six inch ones.
The one on the sandbed is my new clam and is currently doing ok
