My clownfish sleep against the weir on my overflow. Like stuck against it. A few times I’ve shut the pump off to ensure they are alive. When I do they casually start swimming.
...

I had a clown do the same thing wedge against the overflow. I turned the pumps off as well!

I had another clown that slept in a half clamshell like it was a matress.

My lawnmower loved playing and sleeping really close to my mp40. Til one afternoon it sucked him in and made fresh food for my other fish. Even the nassarius gang came out in the daylight for a taste.

I’ll start this one. Went down to get man beer. Turned the lights on and herbie my lawnmower blenny is sleeping on top of my wave maker. Gotta be the weirdest place ever since he is a bottom dweller. I moved him and he was like dude why did you wake me?

********** the Saddleback Puffer sleeps vertically between the vertical GYRE pump and the pickup tube. There's just enough current to hold him in place.

My Neon Dottyback would slip through the slots in my Overflow at Night. I got upset he was doing this and would have to fish him out, till I found out he had no problem, going against the current to get back into the tank. Sometimes he would end up in the sump though. Now he’s too fat to get into trouble.

Funny that @sfin52 mentioned his foxface... Went to take pics this AM of my foxface who normally sleeps in large clump of Xenia and I found multiple baby nems in both xenia and a hammer

Was going to post my own but found this thread. Been wondering where my Flame Hawkfish sleeps every night. Was up early and did some searching…. Worth noting that there is almost 0 flow behind the gyre so maybe that’s why he likes it? His top fin is literally touching the surface sometimes.

If only I had a photo, but I have caught my Naoko’s Fairy Wrasse sleeping in my large Sinularia before and before I had the Sinularia he would sleep in my Kenya trees.
But so far the weirdest place I’ve seen something sleep was my Escenius Blenny and during a water change he did the same thing. I’ll let the photo explain :)
