I am looking for inspiration for my reef aquarium (90 gallons).

Which coral is your favourite, which is not too hard to care for? Only one of my 7 tenuis acropora survived and is doing decent, so i am looking away from corals of that difficulty. i currently have a euphyllia and a chalice, who is doing good.

If anyone knows any nice plate corals, please let me know.

90g is a lot of nice real estate to work with but we need more info. Are you going for mixed reef? SPS dominant? Etc.... some pics of your rock scape and lighting capabilities would help too. Age of the tank?

Zoanthids are still the cheapest, easy-to-grow coral that in my tank gets the best reaction to non-reefers. A diverse zoa garden on a tiered rockscape looks freaking awesome
sadly my regal angel will think it's lunch time.

I like my LPS. Bubble corals, trachys, meat corals, and my duncans. I have them all with some others and they do well with minimal care. I rally like my pectinia also but I have to keep a minimum of 6 inches around it due to the longs sweepers.

I type slow so now that I see “sadly my regal angel will think it's lunch time.“ your choices are limited and my suggestions probably expensive meals for the angel.

The tank was started in june 2022, with a mix of live and dry rock (mostly dry)

the lightning i use is 2x red sea led 90s
i wanted to do sps dominant, but it is not really working so i am now going for mixed reef.

generally im only hesitant to put in zoas, and maybe acans. I have a Duncan already, which is left untouched, and so far i have not seen the angel pick or eat any coral.

Good to hear. I have been looking at the little bitty regals coming into the stores that are captive bred but have been hesitant due to my LPS.

This one is Captive bred as Well. I recommend QT to get it to eat in a smaller environment. I feed mysis, artemia, Masstick and AF small pellets. It likes pellets and masstick.

Your torch looks happy and healthy, why not a large euphyllia garden. I’ve seen a lot of tanks with them and they are beautiful. I love Trachys, easy and dress up the sandbed.

You have nice scape to work with. Your tank is way to new for SPS corals which is why you have had your failures. Wait until about 10 months or a year when you have visible coraline growing everywhere then you know it can sustain SPS. Focus on LPS and softs for mid tank and bottom areas. Shrooms are great for low light overhang areas or the side of the tank. Here is a pic of my mixed reef to give you some ideas.

My torches and frogspawn spit constantly over time, hammers not so much but get small new heads popping up on the flesh near the base. Tips, hmmm? Good stable water quality and keeping your calcium levels in the normal levels. I feed them twice a week and dose aminos AB+ twice a week and make sure par levels and flow are appropriate. I wish you luck.
