My opinion is it is a question that cant be answered because i believe it is going to vary significantly by coral. I feed a variety of different products basically just try to cover all the possible bases.

Reef roids add too much phosphate to dose every day.

everything, reefs are high nutrient environments, our tanks are super clean compared to reefs, so whatever we add to our tanks is beneficial, the more the better for the corals IMO

I wouldn't ditch phyto and I would feed roids as much as your nutrient export allows.

There is no one food.You need a combination of several foods depends on which corals, the size food they need, their individual needs.I feed reef roids, acropower Polyp Lab, coral amino. phytoplankton, zooplanton marine snow, Zo Plan, microvert i switch foods just like in nature they eat many different foods and of course they eat leftover fresh fish and fish and oyster eggs that my fish eat.

Phyto is best used for broadcast feeding and Reef Roids is more for target feeding, in my opinion. I would use both as a change up.

I currently use Reef Roids target feeding, Goniopower target feeding and Red Sea AB+ broadcast and target fed (I mix the RR and Goniopower in the AB+).

I feed phyto and Red Sea AB+ daily. I feed Reef Roids weekly. Hard to say which has had the better effect since I just started up AB+ again, but I have seen good growth with this combination

Acans, lobos, trachys and others will love reef roids mixed with natural foods or crushed flake food. Helps keep phosphate and nitrate above 0.
