Automating with a controller really simplifies things, gives great knowledge and insights about what’s going on in your aquarium, and gives you more time to enjoy your aquarium!

My preference is the Neptune Apex with Trident and DOS. Really helped me take my aquarium to the next level!

Yeah, I'm a tech junkie who loves to pour over data, so it seems right up my alley to be honest, but I am not sure how to justify an additional $1600+ to a 32.5 Gallon tank. But I really want one, not gonna lie, lol.

Try and find someone in your area selling a lightly used one for a great price. Bought 2 DOS’s and one DDR used for about 40% off list.

I have two Apex units and I still Like the reefKeeper unit. Just too easy to maintain and program.
Although discontinued are still proven in the industry and plenty of support from forums, you tubes and hobbyists.

Apex is okay... I have one but could be better for the price. The UI is nice but the hardware leaves a lot to be desired.
