Hey guys, I’m planning my next build and would like your thoughts on setup size.

I’ve got a 7ft wall (which the Mrs isn’t keen on completely filling) and plan to set up an SPS dominated reef with a variety of fish (including multiple tangs).

The two custom build tank sizes I’m considering are (length x width x height):

6ft
183cm x 55cm x 61cm (614ltr / 162G)

5ft
152.2cm x 55cm x 61cm (510ltr / 134G)

Tangs I would like to eventually include (phased process):

Sailfin
Powder Blue
Yellow

Do you think either of these setups would be big enough for a Sailfin? I’ve read 180G is more ideal, which isn’t achievable for me. If not, should I just get the 5ft?

Here’s a rough plan of how the 6ft cabinet would fill the wall - DT to go on top [emoji4]

Welcome your advice

Not sure if you meant to post this in our forum, not the typical question we would get. But anyway, the 6ft tank would by my choice, always go larger when you have the chance. Multiple different types of tangs in one tank be it 5 or 6 ft can be just as problematic.
