@randyBRS @Ryanbrs , the answer is sodium hydroxide. It is much more soluble so you can make it much more concentrated, closer to the saturation of CaCl and MgCl. Or you can make it as dilute as you want. Uses up CO2 (increase pH) just the same as limewater. Any thought to carrying pharma NaOH? Worried about liability?

I use soda ash. Great dissolvability and steady readings
