Hi,
My tank has been giving me a hard time the last month. It’s fairly new - 7 months.
I battled with GHA and doses with Flux RX. The GHA disappeared but it also made my nutrient levels drop. Now I’m at the beginning stages of dinos ‍♀️.
I have turned off the skimmer, lowered lighting and have not done a wire change in hopes of increasing nutrient levels. Now I have this white crystal spiderweb thing growing on a rock. It seems to put out little webs and is overtaking the GHA. Any ideas what in the world I have going on?
I have included pictures in the blue and white daylights.

I have this same thing. I haven't found an answer, but mine is significantly smaller than yours. Best I can think is a sponge or the entrance to the burrow of a eunicid worm.

Poriferan sponge. Can be trimmed if it gets out of control. Best method os to expose it to air and it will subside OR inject with air or vinegar via syringe

Wow, thank you! Is it harmful? I will leave it alone if it isn’t harmful. I have had a lot of yellow and pineapple sponges growing lately too.

Not harmful. Just can be a nuisance as it grows
