Howdy! I’m new to the world of SW and just got my first set of Black Ice Clowns over the weekend. My concern is, I noticed as I was adding the pair to my tank one of them has a couple of spots on its head, it has also not been eating. The other clown looks fine and has been eating ok. Attaching a couple of the best pics I could get, any advice would be appreciated!

Tough to say but I highly suspect an infection.if you have nitrofuracin green I’d recommend treating with that in a quarantine tank for 10-14 days.

If not, treat with the “trifecta” furan 2, metroplex, and kanaplex for 10-14 days, redosing per bottle instructions.

Would those be safe in the main tank? I’m just worried about stressing it with a second move in such a short time frame.

No, it needs to be administered in a quarantine to be effective. You wouldn’t want to pay to treat the main tank, anyway! :D

The fish should do fine, the stress is a necessary “evil”.

So here’s an update: finally got meds in today, nowhere within a couple hour drive had anything in stock. Both clowns are in qt tank and the sick clown has gotten much worse, I’m starting to suspect uronema. Any thoughts? I’m posting a short video of the fish.
