White residue with DIY “All for Reef”

Tropic Marine team,

I switched to All for Reef reef a few months back and Have been happy with the switch. Have got good color and growth on my acros. Proof with the pics below

Note the growth nubs everywhere...I also started using Acropower at the same time so not sure which one is contributing more to the growth but time will tell...

Here is the question - I noticed white residue in my ten liter kit. What is this residue. Do I need to make the jar super air right. Please advise. I am also attaching the clear blue green liquid in the beginning and the whitish liquid after a month of so.

Mine does the same thing. There has been some discussion on it in the thread that Bulk reef supply started on the DIY all for reef. I can't remember exactly what it is but that thread has good info.

I saw a thread where it’s mentioned that there is a precipitate. Does that mean, the chemical is already precipitated as calcium carbonate. Is the liquid still useful.

It needs to be clarified. Please share a thread if I missed.

Are you dosing it via doser? I’ve noticed small brownish sheets that collect in it. I’m guessing it’s iodine but not sure.

It’s a decent coat of white powder on the bottom and the color changed from blue green to whitish...
