I got this pagoda cup coral frag a few weeks ago and it seems happy as polyps are extended.

I just noticed a white spot on it in upper right corner.

What could this be and Should I be concerned about it?

Your picture isn't to clear, can't really tell what spot you're talking about. I'm not sure that's even a pagoda cup. I have one and this is what it looks like

Sorry about the crappy picture. I'll try to get some better photos later. The lfs said it was a pagoda cup coral.

What kind of coral do you think it is?

Thanks!

Still really can't tell. Almost looks like zoanthids? Can you turn off your blues and get a white only shot?

Looks like zoa but your pics are not helpful due to the heavy blue lighting. Get this frag out of the sand which could be irritating it . Please take pics under white lighting.

I have seen other pagoda cup coral frags look similar but now I'm concerned that it might be a zoa from other peoples comments. Anyone else care to weigh in their thoughts?
