Picked this guy up yesterday from my LFS, swear I looked him over closely and didn't see anything, but as soon as I put him in my QT tank, noticed the white spots. Guessing the difference in lights made them obvious. There are only a few, mainly small, but one larger one near his tail. I am thinking early ich, but want to be sure I am treating right. The one by the tail has like a tear-drop shape, so that is throwing me off a bit. He's active, no breathing issues.

Appreciate the help!

Counting literally 3 dots suggest lymphocystis
Is this a new tank?
What is your ammonia-ph-nitrate?
What test kits are you using?

Yeah, there aren't many spots, so wanted to tackle it now if needed. This is my QT tank, so I just set it up, but I filled a little under half with my DT water. DT has been running for several years, have never knowingly had sick fish in it. But these spots I noticed literally as he swam to the bottom after acclimation, so it isn't from me. Ammonia was zero yesterday, I will re-test today along with pH and Nitrate.
