I just noticed that all three of my snails have white specks on them. I took them out and scraped them off. Are these spirorbid worms and if so what can I do?

Yah, spirobid. Harmless. No need to remove them. Over time they will come to cover your rocks, the back wall of your tank glass (unless you clean when you clean your back wall in addition to the front and sides), wavermakers (unless cleaned frequently), etc. Perfectly normal and do not cause any problems.

Thanks so much!! I was worried for a moment when I first noticed. I’ve had these snails for 3 months now, do they just hitchhike on them and I missed one when I scrubbed the shells initially? Or is there a possibly it came with the new frags I brought into the tank over the weekend?

I’m new to the reef tank game and just trying to make sure I have a good system in place so I don’t add anything dangerous in the tank
