I recently purchased a coral beauty for my tank. It was quarantined at my lfs and it looked perfectly healthy when I bought it. It’s been 4 days now and it hasn’t eaten any nori that I put in the tank, and only picks at my rock. He’s developed a white streak down his sides and I’m worried about what it could be. It’s difficult to take a picture because he hides underneath a rock arch most of the time but will also swim like he’s perfectly healthy. My main concern is that he doesn’t even acknowledge any seaweed that I offer on a veggie clip. Any thoughts on what the issue is?

Maybe ask the store you got it from what they were feeding it?

They fed nori and a mix of mysis with spirulina. I’ve tried the mix and he’s still not interested in my tank, whereas he ate in front of me at my lfs.

And I did too. It’s color was great and ate well. As soon as I introduced it to my tank he swam normally for the first 2 days but after about 4 days of only rock picking he has a white streak down both sides and he’s mainly hiding

That doesn't look good to me. Seems pretty well filled out (certainly not starving). Is it missing any scales that you can see in those areas? I'm wondering if it may have something bacterial going on there. Lets see if @Jay Hemdal can help with a diagnosis.

I have a feeling he'll want to see pics under white lighting, so maybe see if you can get some more pics?
