Who actually has 40+ psi of water pressure from their house?

In Ohio I had 70 psi but TDS was 380-420ppm.
Here in South Carolina I only had 25-30 psi, and 80-90 TDS. Now I run a booster buddy pump and dual membranes and couldn’t be happier!

90 psi is not "great", unless johnThomas was referring to only local pressure at his RO/DI system. If that's his incoming water service pressure, then it's not only not great, it is harmful, potentially dangerous, and in violation of building codes.

It depends on your water supply. In some locations there will be a pressure regulator where the water enters the house that can be adjusted. In other areas there is no regulator on the supply entering the house.
If you are talking about at the RODI system a booster pump is needed

Assuming that the service pressure has not already been reduced, this requires a system, usually pre-built and engineered, with a pump (sometimes two), numerous valves and a pressure/storage tank. Selecting an appropriate system requires you to know your pipe sizing, flow rates, and pressure boost required.
